Allure Chocolat is a charming boutique hotel with a wonderful atmosphere in Cartagena. The location in Getsemani is perfect and the rooftop breakfast is a delightful treat every morning. However, the rooms are a bit on the smaller side, which may not be ideal for everyone. While the amenities are enjoyable, I faced a few minor challenges during my stay that detracted from the overall experience.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms were slightly smaller than expected but consistently clean and comfortable, making it a pleasant place to return to each day.
Service
9.0
The staff were professional and quick to assist with any issues. They coordinated our airport pick-up and other requests promptly.
Location
10.0
The hotel is in an excellent location, just a short walk from the walled city and near various shops and dining options.
Dining
9.0
The rooftop breakfast was bountiful and varied each day, providing a great start to my mornings.
Facilities
6.0
While the pool area had a lovely atmosphere, it was quite small and often crowded, limiting the overall experience.

7.2/10

During my stay at Allure Chocolat, I enjoyed the beautiful rooftop pool and appreciated the hotel's location in Getsemani, which is a short walk from the walled city. However, my experience was marred by some service issues and a lack of communication about the pool's closure. The rooms were comfortable, but I encountered problems with hot water that needed attention.

Rooms
8.0
The room I stayed in was clean and comfortable, providing a quiet place to relax after exploring the city.
Service
6.0
While some staff were attentive, the overall service felt inconsistent, particularly during checkout and breakfast times, which made the experience somewhat frustrating.
Location
9.0
The hotel is situated in a great location in Getsemani, allowing easy access to the walled city and local attractions.
Dining
7.0
Breakfast was good, but staff interaction felt overly intrusive at times, making it less enjoyable, and I noticed room for improvement in the drink options.
Facilities
6.0
The rooftop pool was a highlight, although it was disappointing to have it closed during my stay due to renovations.

We had an amazing stay in this hotel, perfectly situated on the edge of Getsemaní with easy access to the bay. The staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful, making our experience memorable. While our room was a bit cozy, the rooftop infinity pool was a fantastic perk after exploring the city. We did encounter a few small hiccups with our room amenities and breakfast, but overall, this hotel offered fantastic value for our trip.

Rooms
8.0
The room was neat and modern, a bit snug but not uncomfortable. The windows faced a solid wall, so I recommend asking for a room with a view for more light and ambiance in the morning.
Service
9.0
The staff was exceptionally courteous and attentive, always checking in on us and helping with any requests we had, including arranging activities and offering recommendations.
Location
10.0
Located in the vibrant Getsemaní neighborhood, we were just a 5 to 10-minute walk to the docks for island trips and the Walled City. It felt lively yet wasn't overwhelmed with tourists.
Dining
7.0
Breakfast was decent, with good coffee and fresh fruit, but I found it wasn't my favorite part of the stay. However, there are plenty of excellent dining options nearby.
Facilities
7.0
The rooftop infinity pool was a lovely spot to unwind, though there were not enough lounge chairs for everyone, which meant waiting was necessary at times.

7.0/10

I had high hopes for my stay at this boutique hotel based on its online presence, but it didn't quite deliver. On the bright side, the location is fantastic, close to the convention center and walking distance to amazing restaurants. The rooftop view was beautiful, but the pool was incredibly dirty and uninviting. Overall, I felt disappointed with the room quality, which didn't match the upscale vibe that was advertised.

Rooms
6.0
Our room was spacious and clean, offering an interesting view, but the lack of a shower door led to water all over the bathroom. It felt more like a basic accommodation than what we expected from a deluxe room.
Service
7.0
The service was a mixed bag. While some staff members were really accommodating, I found the front desk staff to be just okay and not particularly helpful.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location is a major highlight, only a few minutes' walk from the walled city and numerous local dining spots. It's quiet, yet lively at night with lots of foot traffic.
Dining
8.0
Dining at The Red Knife was a delightful experience. The food was tasty and the rooftop setting added to the charm.
Facilities
5.0
The rooftop pool and bar have great potential, but the pool's cleanliness was very disappointing and detracted from what could have been an enjoyable experience.

6.4/10

My stay was quite disappointing, with a range of issues overshadowing the positives. While the location was great and the rooftop pool looked beautiful, service was often lacking, and the room cleanliness was unacceptable. Upsettingly, inadequate management made it a frustrating experience overall.

Rooms
7.0
The room was modern and clean, but we did have to request basic items like toilet paper and towels. That felt odd for the price we paid.
Service
5.0
Service was extraordinarily nice at times but skewed towards being overly focused on upselling dinner packages. I faced multiple issues with trying to get basic requests addressed.
Location
9.0
The hotel is perfectly situated just a few minutes' walk from the historical center, making it convenient to explore the area.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast was decent, but there were times it felt like leftovers from the previous night, which was disappointing.
Facilities
5.0
The rooftop pool was beautiful but closed during our stay, which was a letdown. Additionally, I noticed that the general upkeep of the facilities was lacking.
